Tiny Romance Trailer

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

My friend Brandon Rice finished his short film “Tiny Romance” not too long ago.  Check out the trailer - it looks really funny.  I’m too late on the screenings at The Moxie (April 20 and 21) in Springfield, MO but check it out anyway.

The Golden Sombrero

Friday, April 17th, 2009

The Golden Sombrero in baseball is the inglorious feat of striking out 4 times.  We’re beyond that now.  Marathon is 0 - 5.  Most of these aren’t suprising, but still a bummer.

REJECTED TO:
CineVegas - a Tier 1 festival that only accepts 20 shorts.  this was expected.
Cannes - really?  i thought we’d get in.  no. we never had a chance but it’s free to submit so i did it anyway.
Santa Cruz FF - this one i was holding out hope for.  it’s a tier 2 festival that’s been around for about 10 years.
London Indy FF - i thought we’d get into this one for sure.  they love micro-budget films.
NYC Downtown FF - i don’t know much about this one, but we didn’t get in.

This looks really good:

Slumdog Millionaire

slum-dog-millionaire

It took me a while but I finally got around to watching Slumdog Millionaire.  Normally I hear about these super-hyped movies and they never live up to the bill.  But this movie was really, really good.  I loved the story.  It had a perfect mix of the love story with humor and suspense.  Very interesting characters.  The only thing I thought was kind of strange was Salim’s actions in the end.  His actions seemed a little out of character.  Other than that, the musical score was fantastic.

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

The Marathon trailer just reached 500 views (between Vimeo and Youtube)!  Not bad for just 2 months.

Our highest viewed movie to date is the underground, cult hit “Go Geocache!” (660 views).  It’s just the trailer but I’m going to see if Chris will put the full version up this weekend…
